Also known as: Bubenbergplatz (Bern)
Bubenbergplatz sits directly beside Bern's central station and has been the city's main tram and bus hub for generations. It is named after Adrian von Bubenberg, the Bernese mayor who helped defeat Charles the Bold at the Battle of Murten in 1476; Max Leu's bronze statue has watched over the square since 1897, glaring toward the Bundeshaus. Today every major Bern tram line converges here, and the kiosk corners are where commuters, students and just-arrived travelers cross paths.
