Blens Castle

Blens Castle sits at 205 metres above sea level on the eastern edge of Blens, a district of Heimbach in the Eifel region, perched above the Rur river in Düren county. Little is firmly documented about its medieval origins, but the structure is listed as a protected monument in North Rhine-Westphalia. Its elevated position offers quiet views over the forested Eifel landscape and the Rur valley below. Hiking trails through the surrounding area connect the castle site to the nearby Eifel National Park.
