Petit-Vivy Chateau

Petit-Vivy Chateau is a former manorial seat dating to the 14th century, situated near Barberêche in the municipality of Courtepin in the canton of Fribourg's Lake District. It is listed as part of Switzerland's inventory of sites worthy of protection. Little is documented about its history as a noble residence; it belongs to a network of small Fribourg rural castles that once structured the agrarian lordship of the Swiss Plateau. Today the estate with its park grounds survives as a quiet remnant on the edge of the Three Lakes region.
