Burlington Station

Burlington Station is a former Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad passenger depot in downtown Omaha, Nebraska, opened in 1898 to a design by architect Thomas Rogers Kimball in the Italianate style. The brick building at 1001 South 10th Street served rail passengers for 76 years before closing in 1974, a casualty of declining intercity rail travel in postwar America. It has since been adaptively reused as the studio facility for KETV, Omaha's ABC television affiliate — giving the landmark a second life without altering its ornate exterior. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and contributes to the Omaha Rail and Commerce Historic District, southeast of the Old Market neighborhood.
