Geestenseth station
Listed Building
Annweiler am Trifels station is the main railway hub of the small town of the same name in the southern Palatinate Forest, and its classicist station building carries protected monument status. Historically it was the most significant intermediate stop on the line between Landau (Pfalz) and Pirmasens Nord, with long-distance trains once calling here regularly. Today the station operates with three platforms within the Rhein-Neckar transport network (VRN) and serves primarily as a starting point for visitors heading to the nearby Imperial castle of Trifels.
