Also known as: Chongqing World Financial Centre
The Chongqing World Financial Center is a 339-metre skyscraper in Yuzhong district, opened in 2015. With 73 above-ground floors, it ranked among the city's five tallest buildings at completion and remained one of the largest office towers in western China for years. Designed by international firm Lead 8 with clean, slightly stepped glass facades, it stands in the Jiefangbei business quarter close to the central pedestrian zone. By day it dominates the peninsula as a mirrored vertical; by night it joins the LED light show that runs across the Yuzhong skyline at seven and nine, best viewed from the south bank of the Yangtze.
