Creekway Park

Creekway Park is a small daylighting habitat in Vancouver's Hastings-Sunrise neighbourhood, completed in September 2013 as the first phase of a city council plan to eventually link New Brighton Park with Hastings Park. Its centrepiece is a formerly buried creek returned to the surface, designed to support urban wildlife and native vegetation — a modest but concrete example of ecological restoration in a dense residential area. Located just off Bridgeway Street near the railway corridor, the park provides a quiet pedestrian and cycling green link, more notable for its environmental ambition than its size.
