Road Bridge
The Alex Fraser Bridge is a cable-stayed road bridge in Metro Vancouver, carrying Highway 91 across the south arm of the Fraser River between Richmond, Annacis Island, and the District of Delta. When it opened in 1986, its main span of 465 metres made it the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world — a record it held only briefly before being surpassed. It functions today primarily as a commuter artery with no dedicated visitor infrastructure.
