Galerie Bene Taschen

Galerie Bene Taschen is a compact Cologne gallery with a sharp curatorial identity: photography as fine art, with a particular focus on hip-hop culture and Black urban life from Los Angeles and New York. Two floors divide the program — ground level devoted to photography exhibitions, the upper floor to broader contemporary works. The gallery's owner is known for personal, approachable engagement; visitors can often glimpse the storage area and discuss works directly with her. Represented at major art fairs, the gallery keeps intimate scale with Wednesday–Friday afternoon and Saturday morning hours.
