Gersten Pavilion

Also known as: Hank's House

Multi-purpose arena at Loyola Marymount University — host of weightlifting at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.

The Gersten Pavilion is a multi-purpose arena on the campus of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, used for both sport and entertainment since opening in 1981. With around 4,100 seats it is compact, but carries Olympic history: in 1984 it hosted the weightlifting events of the Summer Olympics. Today the pavilion serves as home court for the university's basketball and volleyball teams, and also hosts concerts and other events. A venue that brings together collegiate sport and live entertainment in an intimate setting.
