Palais Nikaia

Palais Nikaia is a multi-purpose arena in Nice on the French Mediterranean coast. Its name refers to Nikaia, the ancient Greek settlement founded by Phocaean Greeks from Massalia in the 4th century BC that preceded modern Nice. The hall opened in 2001 and seats up to around 9000 people depending on configuration, making it the city's main venue for concerts and sporting events. International pop and rock acts, boxing matches and larger trade fairs dominate the program. The arena lies somewhat outside the city center to the west and is reachable by tram from the main railway station.
