Inwadar National Park
Also known as: Il-Park Nazzjonali tal-Inwadar
Inwadar National Park runs along Malta's rocky southeastern coastline between Marsaskala, Żejtun and Xgħajra, accessible via three separate entrances and linked by a network of unsurfaced coastal paths through Mediterranean scrub. The terrain is raw and undeveloped — visitor accounts describe dirt tracks, low bushes, and a silence rare on the densely populated island. Two historic structures break up the landscape: a Knights of Malta-era defensive tower (Torri ta' Triq Il-Wiesgha) and a concrete World War II bunker, together marking centuries of coastal fortification on this exposed promontory. The park functions as a local retreat for walking and jogging along the cliffs, with unobstructed sea views but no visitor facilities to speak of.
