This small private museum in Mülheim an der Ruhr traces the history and craft of leather production, covering the full process from raw hide through chemical tanning to finished leather goods. Opened in September 2003 and listed as a protected monument in North Rhine-Westphalia, it forms part of the Route der Industriekultur — a network documenting the Ruhr region's industrial and artisanal heritage. The museum is open Wednesday to Thursday 09:00–13:00 and Friday to Sunday 14:00–18:00, with full wheelchair accessibility.
