Mount Carmel Cemetery is an active Roman Catholic cemetery in the Chicago suburb of Hillside, Illinois, established in 1901. It is part of the Archdiocese of Chicago and sits near the Eisenhower Expressway at Wolf and Roosevelt Roads. The cemetery is known as the final resting place of numerous historical figures from Chicago's Irish and Italian communities, including local politicians and business leaders of the early 20th century. Immediately to the south lies the also-Catholic Queen of Heaven Cemetery. The well-kept grounds offer a peaceful space for reflection away from the city.
