Mount Parker

The second-highest peak on Hong Kong Island after Victoria Peak, rising 532 metres above the eastern part of the island between Quarry Bay and Shau Kei Wan. The nine-kilometre Mount Parker Road Green Trail runs along its foot and connects the North Point district with the Tai Tam Country Park, a reserve containing colonial-era reservoirs. The mountain is named after Captain William Parker, a nineteenth-century British naval officer. Today a popular hiking route outside the city's tower canyons; from the summit the view stretches across the eastern half of the island towards Lei Yue Mun.
