Central Plaza

Central Plaza on Harbour Road in Wan Chai North remains one of Hong Kong's tallest buildings at 374 metres and 78 floors. At topping out in 1992 it was briefly the tallest structure in Asia, before Two IFC and the ICC overtook it. Ng Chun Man's design uses an unusual triangular footprint clad in golden-yellow reflective glass, which maximises floor area and yields four corner offices per level. The pyramidal roof carries a 102-metre mast tipped with neon that changes colour to broadcast Hong Kong weather forecasts at night. The Sky Lobby on the 46th floor is open to the public and is widely considered a free alternative to the pricier Sky100 in the ICC.
