Pagae

Pagai, also Pagae, ancient Greek Pagai, was a town in the region of Megaris on the coast of the Gulf of Corinth. It served as the western port of the city-state of Megara and, together with Nisaia on the Saronic side, secured access to both seas. Thucydides and Pausanias mention it; during the Peloponnesian War it changed hands several times. Remains of the ancient walls and individual buildings can still be made out near the modern village of Alepochori. The small pebble bay below is mainly used by Athenians as a quiet weekend retreat away from the busier Saronic coast.
