Preußenpark

Preussenpark is a 5.5-hectare green space in Berlin-Wilmersdorf between Brandenburgische and Wuerttembergische Strasse, just north of Fehrbelliner Platz. Locals know it as Thaipark: since the mid-1990s, members of Berlin's Thai community have spread picnic blankets on warm weekends and cooked Pad Thai, Som Tam, grilled fish and mango sticky rice straight on the lawn. The district formalised the informal street-food gathering in 2020 by licensing it as a market. On summer weekends the place teems with hundreds of visitors weaving between woks and cool boxes; on weekdays it returns to being an ordinary neighbourhood lawn with dog walkers and children. Most transactions are still cash.
