Schloss Lembeck is a Baroque moated castle built in 1670, set within the Hohe Mark nature park on the boundary between the northern Ruhr region and the southern Münsterland near Dorsten. Its symmetrical facade and encircling water-filled moat rank it among Westphalia's most distinctive aristocratic estates. The castle remains in private hands — owned by the Counts of Merveldt — and is framed by the forests of Der Hagen and Kippheide, which feed into a broader parkland. Guided tours of the interior are available, and the grounds serve as a popular starting point for cycling and walking routes through the nature park.
