This sandstone memorial to Saint Philip Neri dates to around 1715 and belongs to the dense network of Baroque devotional figures that punctuate Prague's streets and squares. Philip Neri, a 16th-century Italian priest and founder of the Congregation of the Oratory, was canonized in 1622 and became a widely venerated figure in Habsburg-era Central European Catholicism. Listed as a Czech cultural monument, it is a quiet remnant of Baroque religious sculpture in Bohemia.
