152-мм гаубица образца 1943 года (Д-1)
Volgograd
The 53-K is a preserved Soviet 45mm anti-tank gun, model M1937, displayed as a war memorial in Kharkiv. During World War II it served as the standard battalion-level anti-tank weapon in the Red Army — effective against early German armor but increasingly outmatched after 1942 by heavily armored vehicles like the Panzer IV. Kharkiv changed hands four times during the war, giving the city and its memorial sites a particularly layered relationship with that period of history.
