ZiS-2 Anti-Tank Gun

The ZiS-2 was a Soviet 57 mm anti-tank gun used during World War II. Developed to counter heavily armored German vehicles, it was one of the most effective anti-tank weapons of its time when introduced in 1941. A tank-mounted version, the ZiS-4, was also developed. Examples are on outdoor display in Kyiv as part of memorials to the Eastern Front. The weapon represents a key step in the development of Soviet wartime arms production.
