Abbaye de Marcheroux

The Abbaye de Marcheroux is a former Premonstratensian abbey listed as a Monument historique since 1995. The Premonstratensian order, founded in 1120 by Norbert of Xanten, established numerous abbeys across Picardy; Marcheroux is one of the lesser-documented examples. The site today is largely ruined and offers little public access — a quiet remnant of medieval monastic life.
