Aber Falls

Aber Falls is a waterfall tucked into the Carneddau mountains of Gwynedd, North Wales, roughly three kilometres south of the coastal village of Abergwyngregyn. The water descends from the upland ridges of the Snowdonia range along the Afon Rhaeadr-fawr, a mountain stream that cuts through a wooded gorge on its way to the Menai Strait. A well-worn footpath follows the river through oak woodland, making the route accessible to most walkers and families. The falls are most dramatic after heavy rain, when the full force of the Welsh uplands funnels into a single cascading drop.
