Atlantic City Line

The Atlantic City Line is a NJ Transit commuter rail corridor linking Philadelphia to Atlantic City, crossing the Delaware River via the Delair Bridge roughly 5.4 miles northeast of Center City Philadelphia. The Delair Bridge is a railroad lift bridge — originally built as a swing bridge and later converted — spanning the state boundary between Pennsylvania and New Jersey near Pennsauken. For most passengers it passes unnoticed, but the steel structure stands as a functional remnant of the region's 19th-century railroad expansion.
