Aubad Tulln

Vienna

Man-made swimming lake of 50,000 m² in Tulln on the Danube, set within a 30-hectare recreational area on the Danube riverside — ideal for summer swimming and water sports.

The Aubad in Tulln on the Danube is a 50,000-square-metre man-made lake created through excavation during construction work. With a maximum depth of six metres, it sits within a 30-hectare recreational park directly on the Danube riverside. The lake offers swimming and water sports, while the surrounding grounds provide space for football, volleyball, and basketball. A vegetated island in the middle of the lake gives the Aubad its distinctive character. For residents of Tulln and daytrippers from the Vienna region, the Aubad is a classic summer destination: unpretentious, close to nature, with direct views over the Danube floodplains.
