Bäkewiese

Also known as: NSG-11, NSG Bäkewiese, Naturschutzgebiet Bäkewiese

Bäkewiese is a nature reserve designated in 1988 in the southwest of Berlin, protecting the floodplain meadows along the Bäke, a small tributary of the Teltow Canal. Open grassland alternates with hedgerow strips, providing habitat for meadow birds and insects. For locals it serves as a quiet green retreat within easy reach of the city.
