Atami Station

Atami Station sits in Shizuoka Prefecture on the Japanese island of Honshū, jointly operated by JR Central and JR East since its opening in 1925. It serves as a Shinkansen stop on the Tōkaidō line, placing the coastal hot-spring resort of Atami within roughly 50 minutes of Tokyo. For most visitors the station is a transit gateway rather than a destination in itself, with onward connections to Atami's ryokan district and seafront.
