Chișinău railway station
Chișinău
Also known as: Hauptbahnhof Genf, Gare de Cornavin, Geneva railway station · +5
Geneva Cornavin is the Swiss city's main station and the country's third-busiest, handling around 156,000 passengers daily. Opened in 1858, it receives TGV services from Paris, international trains to Turin and Lyon, and the full SBB domestic network. The neoclassicist building is listed as Swiss cultural heritage of regional significance. A minor naming dispute persists: SBB call it simply "Genève" while SNCF insist on "Genève-Cornavin", with the blue platform signs following the SBB convention.
