Interlaken West railway station

Interlaken West is the smaller of Interlaken's two railway stations, opened in 1872 on the Thunerseebahn line. Owned by BLS but also served by SBB trains, it handles regional services as well as long-distance Intercity and ICE trains continuing to Interlaken Ost. For most visitors arriving from Thun or Bern, it serves as the practical first stop before the town centre, which is within easy walking distance.
