Tomikawa Station

Tomikawa Station was a small stop on the Hidaka Main Line on the Japanese island of Hokkaido, opened in 1913 during the Meiji era. For over a century it served the sparsely populated Hidaka subprefecture before the line closed in 2015. The modest wooden station building reflects the early railway expansion of Hokkaido, a period when the Japanese government systematically opened the northern island through new rail connections.
