BOK Tower

The BOK Tower is a 52-story, 203-meter skyscraper completed in 1976 in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, designed by Japanese-American architect Minoru Yamasaki — the same firm responsible for New York's Twin Towers. For decades it held the title of tallest building in Oklahoma and across the Plains States, a distinction it kept until the Devon Energy Tower in Oklahoma City surpassed it in 2011. Yamasaki's signature International Style is evident in the tower's slender glass-and-steel curtain wall with pronounced vertical ribbing, lending the structure a taller appearance than its footprint suggests. The tower remains the defining feature of Tulsa's downtown skyline.
