Bursa Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art

The Bursa Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art occupies the former medrese of the Yeşil Complex, a theological school commissioned by Ottoman Sultan Mehmed I in 1419. The medrese is part of one of Bursa's most significant early Ottoman ensembles, alongside the Yeşil Türbe and Yeşil Camii, and its arcaded courtyard remains a fine example of early 15th-century Ottoman architecture. The museum's collection spans Ottoman manuscripts, ceramics, woodcarvings, and textiles, illustrating the craft traditions and religious life of medieval Anatolia. Compared to the more visited sites nearby, the museum draws modest crowds, making it a relatively quiet place for unhurried exploration.
