Iinoyagu Shrine

Iinoya-gū is a Shinto shrine located in the Hamana-ku district of Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture. Founded in 1872 during the Meiji era, it belongs to the Fifteen Shrines of the Kenmu Restoration — a designated group of sanctuaries commemorating the 14th-century imperial restoration movement that briefly returned direct rule to Emperor Go-Daigo. The shrine's main annual festival takes place on September 22nd. Visitors encounter a quietly atmospheric sacred site with traditional shrine architecture, a torii gate, and the prayer and purification rituals characteristic of Shinto worship.
