Johannes der Täufer

The former Catholic parish church of St. Peter and Paul in Kleinbüllesheim, a district of Euskirchen, dates back to construction phases beginning in the 10th century and is a listed heritage monument in North Rhine-Westphalia. Today the building serves as the Greek Orthodox Church of John the Baptist, having undergone a notable change of denomination — from a small-town Roman Catholic parish to an active Orthodox place of worship. Its long arc from early medieval foundation to present-day Greek diaspora congregation makes it an understated example of living religious continuity in a rural Rhineland setting.
