Josef Václav Myslbek

This memorial commemorates Josef Václav Myslbek (1848–1922), the most influential Czech sculptor of the 19th century. Myslbek shaped Czech national art in the era of the National Revival movement; his most celebrated work is the monumental equestrian statue of Saint Wenceslas on Prague's Wenceslas Square, developed over decades and unveiled in 1912. As a professor in Prague he trained an entire generation of Czech sculptors. The precise form and exact location of this memorial are not documented — it is likely a bust or commemorative plaque somewhere in the city.
