Langdale Ferry Terminal

Langdale Ferry Terminal sits on the western shore of Howe Sound near the town of Gibsons, British Columbia, and functions as the sole connection between the Sunshine Coast Regional District and the rest of the mainland — an unusual geographic quirk, since the district technically sits on the mainland but is cut off by the sound. BC Ferries operates one of the province's busiest routes from here to Horseshoe Bay in Vancouver, a roughly 40-minute crossing through a fjord-like channel with tidal swings of up to five metres. The terminal also marks the northern start of Highway 101, the Sunshine Coast Highway running up to Lund. The terminal is wheelchair accessible and offers Wi-Fi.
