Plumper Cove Marine Provincial Park

Plumper Cove Marine Provincial Park sits on Keats Island at the mouth of Howe Sound, about 50 kilometres northwest of Vancouver, and is one of British Columbia's oldest marine parks, established in 1955. The 66-hectare park is entirely car-free and accessible only by water or on foot — those arriving by land must hike across the full width of Keats Island from the BC Ferries-operated wharf on the island's western shore. The sheltered cove is a well-known anchorage for sailboats and kayakers from greater Vancouver, with mooring buoys, forested campsites, and tidal pools rounding out the experience. Water taxis from Gibsons or Horseshoe Bay offer access for those without their own vessel.
