Ludwik Waryński monument in Warsaw

The Ludwik Waryński memorial is a bronze bust on a granite pedestal, situated at the corner of Bema and Kasprzaka Streets in Warsaw's Wola district. Waryński was a 19th-century activist and leading theoretician of the Polish socialist movement. The sculpture, designed by Gustaw Zemła, was originally unveiled on 27 July 1974 during the Polish People's Republic era. Removed in 2006 and reinstalled at its current location in 2013, its relocation reflects Poland's ongoing negotiation with its socialist-era public monuments.
