Peace and Friendship Stadium

The Stadio Eirinis kai Filias - Stadium of Peace and Friendship, usually just SEF - is a multi-purpose arena in the Neo Faliro suburb of Piraeus. Opened in 1985, it seats 12,349 for basketball and is the home arena of Greece's most successful basketball and volleyball clubs, above all Olympiacos. During the 2004 Olympics the hall hosted the volleyball tournament as part of the Faliro Coastal Zone Olympic Sports Complex. Beyond sport, SEF doubles as one of Athens' biggest indoor concert venues - Madonna, Pavarotti and most touring acts have played here. Without a ticket you mostly see a heavy round concrete drum on the water.
