Altenalp Türm

The Altenalptürm are three rocky summit points forming a narrow ridge in the northern Alpstein range of the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden, Switzerland. They rise steeply above the Seealpsee, one of the most scenic alpine lakes in eastern Switzerland, as part of the rugged chain between Säntis and Ebenalp. The approach demands sure-footedness and a head for heights — the ridge is narrow with sheer drops on either side. Those who make the ascent are rewarded with unobstructed views across the Alpstein massif and, on clear days, far into the Swiss pre-Alps.
