Alphubel

The Alphubel stands at 4,203 m above sea level, making it one of the more approachable four-thousanders in the Pennine Alps and part of the Allalin group on the ridge dividing the Mattertal from the Saastal. Administratively it sits on the territory of Täsch and Saas-Fee. The standard route via the southeast ridge is considered a classic high-alpine tour — technically moderate but requiring full glacier equipment. The summit delivers an expansive panorama across neighbouring Walliser giants including the Dom, Täschhorn, and Allalinhorn. In winter the mountain draws ski mountaineers ascending via its hanging glaciers.
