At 2,980 metres, the Aroser Rothorn is the highest summit of the Plessur Alps in the Swiss canton of Graubünden, rising directly above the resort of Arosa. A minor geographic curiosity: the peak marks the exact convergence of three municipal boundaries — Arosa, Lantsch/Lenz, and Albula/Alvra — as well as the district boundary between Plessur and Albula. A cable car from Arosa makes the summit accessible year-round, rewarding visitors with an expansive panorama across the Graubünden Alps toward the Glarus and Uri ranges. In winter it serves as the high point of the Arosa-Lenzerheide ski area; in summer it is a starting point for ridge hikes along the Plessur Alps.
