Cupid on the Pegasus monument

This bronze sculpture stands on the promenade beside Nicolaus Copernicus Park in Wrocław and dates to the early 20th century. It depicts Cupid — the winged god of love — astride the mythical winged horse Pegasus, an allegorical pairing of love and poetic inspiration common in late-Romantic decorative arts. The work is set within the green belt that replaced Wrocław's old inner fortifications, today a leisurely walking corridor connecting several city parks. It is a quiet piece of urban ornamentation rather than a major monument, easily overlooked but charming in its parkland setting.
