ATSz-59

The ATSz-59 is a Soviet medium artillery tractor that replaced the older AT-S from 1959 onward, designed to haul medium-weight artillery loads on tracked chassis. Its name abbreviates the Russian for 'medium artillery towing vehicle', with 59 denoting the model year. Widely used by the Soviet Army and Warsaw Pact allies, it also served as the platform for the improved ATSz-59G variant. A preserved example is on static display in Kecel, offering a rare close-up look at Cold War-era Soviet military engineering.
