Легкий бронеавтомобиль БА-64

The BA-64 was a light Soviet armoured scout car that entered Red Army service in 1942, designed for rapid reconnaissance rather than front-line combat. This example is displayed as an open-air exhibit in Volgograd — the former Stalingrad — a city whose identity is inseparable from the decisive WWII battle fought here in 1942–43. After the war, the BA-64 saw further service with the East German Volkspolizei and NVA, and some vehicles were deployed by North Korean forces during the Korean War. As a standalone exhibit, it offers a close-up look at early-war Soviet light armour with no accompanying museum infrastructure.
