Elbgaustrasse station

Hamburg Elbgaustraße station in the Eidelstedt district has a history tied to the 1922 marshalling yard that opened nearby: the Reichsbahn built workers' housing in the area, prompting the creation of an early suburban station that already bore the current name. Today the station is the northwestern terminus of S-Bahn line S5 and is also served by line S3.
