Westerburg station

Westerburg station once served as the crossing point between the still-active Oberwesterwald line (Limburg–Altenkirchen) and the now-defunct Herborn–Montabaur route, making it a notable rail junction in the Westerwald district. When it lost that function in the 1990s, the site found a second life as the Erlebnisbahnhof Westerwald, a museum operation dedicated to the region's railway heritage. The historic station building now houses the Eisenbahnplakat-Museum — a rare specialist collection of vintage railway advertising posters documenting the graphic design and promotional culture of the golden age of rail travel.
