Saint Epvre Basilica

Saint-Epvre Basilica is a neo-Gothic Roman Catholic church in the heart of Nancy, dedicated to Saint Aper, an early medieval bishop of Toul. Completed in 1874, it holds the title of Basilica minor — a papal honorific reserved for churches of particular religious importance. The high altar houses a shrine containing the relics of the saint, drawing local pilgrims for centuries. Classified as a Monument historique under French heritage law, the building's slender towers and ornate Gothic west facade rise above the surrounding old-town lanes and are best appreciated from the adjacent Place Saint-Epvre.
