The Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kielce serves as the seat of the Diocese of Kielce and holds the honorary title of Basilica minor. Completed in 1719 in the Baroque style, it stands as one of the most significant sacred buildings in central Poland. Its dedication to the Assumption of Mary reflects a deep Marian devotion that has shaped the city's religious identity for centuries. Built from dressed stone, the facade displays the symmetry and sculptural richness characteristic of Polish Baroque church architecture. As a protected monument and active episcopal church, it remains the liturgical heart of the Kielce region.
